AYODHYA: Yogi Adityanath has reached Ayodhya alongwith South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-sook who is the chief guest on the occasion.
The announcement comes days after the UP government officially renamed Allahabad as Prayagraj.The city Ayodhya is located in UP’s Faizabad district and is at the centre of the Ram mandir dispute.
The Faizabad district comprises the twin towns of Faizabad and Ayodhya on the banks the Saryu.Previously,the Yogi Adityanath government renamed Mughal Sarai railway junction to Deen Dayal Upadhyay junction.
Yogi also announced that a new airport, named after Ram, and a new medical college named after Raja Dashrath would be set up in Ayodhya.
“Ayodhya is a symbol of our pride. Ayodhya’s identity is with Lord Ram. From today, Faizabad district’s name will be Ayodhya,” he said.

The South Korean First lady Kim Jung-sook, accompanied a cultural delegation, that attended the grand Diwali celebrations, which included a dazzling display of lakhs of diya at Ram ki Paidi.
CM Yogi Adityanath and South Korean first lady Kim-Jung Sook inaugurated the Queen Huh Memorial at Queen Huh Park in Ayodhya.
Many students of the university are also preparing colourful rangolis on Ramayana theme on the banks of the river,” a member of the event management team said.
