This is the first arrest of it’s kind through the first ever Women’s Distress Cell of the state and has set an example of positive use of social media administration as well to the prospective culprits.
Socialising on social media has opened the gates to a galaxy of virtues and so are the vices they attract. The largest platform of Uttarakhand namely HALDWANI ONLINE 2011 brought it’s foot forward almost a year ago to send a message across that power can be generated without a chair to lean upon, when it’s elite panel led by its founder Amit Kholia, along with the most powerful social media administrators Shveta Mashiwal and Senior Advocates, UK High Court Dushyant Mainali and Himanshu Sinha.
A Women’s Distress Cell was developed under the leadership of Pratibha Bisht, the bold and an L.L.B. student the suave Nia Thakur “the Bullet Girl” and Dr. Tripta Pandey.
The latest breakthrough came just a few days ago when, a girl from haldwani approached #DISTRESS_CELL of HALDWANI_ONLINE 2011 regarding a boy threatening her with dire consequences.
The distress team under the guidance of #Founder Amit Kholia worked on the case and got a Mumbai employed boy arrested after fabricating a real life trap in real time, with the help from the District Police Chief Janmejay Khanduri, (IPS), SSP, Nainital. The boy was finally arrested , brought behind bars and finally a case filed by the local SI, Sanjay Joshi after which the girl and her family are breathing a sigh of relief.
This is the first arrest of it’s kind through the first ever Women’s Distress Cell of the state and has set an example of positive use of social media administration as well to the prospective culprits.
The boy natively from Khatima (U.S.Nagar) and working in Mumbai was accused of troubling the girl and her family since quite a long time.  The boy was called to Haldwani by the team with a strategic move after which he was handed over to police in front of the girl and her family.
