LUCKNOW: Raj Smriti, a mother turned author has already been creating waves in the literary circle of Uttar Pradesh by writing motivational life journeys of simple, ordinary people doing extra ordinary work.
Her passion reflects as she has written two books within two months itself.
Inspiring Souls of Awadh, 2nd book from the series FolkTales by Raj Smriti was launched on 16th November 2018, in the Lucknow Literature Festival by Nadira Babbar Theatre Artist, Actor, Social Activist; Bachi Karkaria Journalist and Author; Margaret Alva Former Governor Rajasthan and Utrakhand; Kanwaljit Singh Actor and Nilam Katara Social Activist
Raj Smriti dedicates this book to her Nana Jee Shree Raghunandan Prasad who lived for 105 years. It features biography of 12 prominent people from the State of Uttar Pradesh who are known in their field and are playing an important role in shaping the society. The foreword of the book is written by Professor Nishi Pandey, Educationists, Social Activist and a Fulbright Scholar.
The 12 inspirational biographies that this book features are Begum Hamida Habibullah, Bhuvnesh Kumar, Mahant Devyagiri, Dr Hari Om, Kanak Rekha Chauhan, Cricketer Suresh Raina, Manjari Mishra, Abhijit Sarkar, Kena Shree, Gaurav Prakash, Mohsina Mirza and Akshai Abraham.
The book is edited by Sarat Nayar and Surekha Waldia and published by Pratishthaa Publishing House.Satyendra Kumar Singh, Executive Editor, ICN was also present on this occasion.
