PM Modi Visits Kedarnath, Celebrates Diwali With Soldiers At 11000 ft Near India-China Border

PM Modi had celebrated the festival every year with soldiers and security personnel stationed at different parts of the country.PM Netanyahu extended his Diwali greetings in Hindi, to which PM Modi replied in Hebrew. 

NEW DELHI: PM Modi is celebrating Diwali with the jawans of Indian Army and ITBP at Harsil in Uttarakhand. PM Modi offered sweets to the Jawans at Nilang valley at Indo-China Border at 11000 ft near Harsil Station.

The PM Modi arrived in Kedarnath on Wednesday morning to seek blessings from the holy shrine at Lord Shiva’s temple.

PM Modi said that the Indian Armed Forces draw admiration and appreciation across the world, in UN peacekeeping operations.

The PM Modi offered sweets to the jawans. He also interacted with people from nearby areas who had gathered to greet him on Diwali.

PM Modi offered prayers at the Himalayan shrine in Kedarnath and reviewed Kedarpuri reconstruction projects. This is Prime Minister Modi’s 3rd visit to Kedarnath since 2014.

During the last few Diwalis, the PM has visited soldiers at Siachen Glacier, Dograi War Memorial in Khasa, China border and Gurez.

PM Modi took to Twitter to greet the nation on the occasion of Diwali. In his tweet he wrote, “Happy Diwali! May this festival bring happiness, good health and prosperity in everyone’s lives. May the power of good and brightness always prevail!”

PM Modi had an interesting exchange of tweets with Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu. Israeli PM posted a tweet wishing his “dear friend” Modi on Diwali.

Pakistan PM Imran Khan extended its greetings to the Hindu Community celebrating the festival. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief used his Twitter account to wish happy Diwali to Hindu citizens of Pakistan.

PM Modi’s office posted images on his official social media channels of the prime minister, wearing a puffer jacket and “PM”-adorned baseball cap, feeding soldiers Diwali treats by hand.
