Fodder Scam: Lalu Yadav, Jagannath Mishra Sentenced To 5-Year Jail Terms In Third C-ase

RANCHI: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was on Wednesday convicted by a CBI court in Ranchi in the third fodder scam case. Lalu Yadav has been sentenced to five years in jail today in the third fodder scam case. Special CBI court judge S S Prasad delivered the judgment in the case, which pertains to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 33.67 crore from Chaibasa treasury in 1992-1993. The incident took place at Subunglong Part 1(Leisok) Village under Khoupum Police Station of Noney District.  According to reports at around 11 am, the grenade exploded suddenly while the children were playing with it.
