Death Toll Rises To 25 In California’s Camp Fire

The Camp Fire is just one of three major wildfires that firefighters are battling across the state.Fire officials have said that the fires have been fueled by high winds.

The wildfire in California history leveled nearly the entire city of Paradise as firefighters battled massive fires on both sides of the state.

At least 25 people were killed there, and more than 6,400 homes were destroyed.Authorities said there were 110 people still missing.

The Camp Fire has burned around 105,000 acres and was 20 percent contained Saturday, officials said. More Santa Ana winds fueling the fires are expected on Sunday.

Some 250,000 people in California were under evacuation orders from three fires on Saturday, including the Camp Fire, officials said.

President Donald Trump, on a trip to France, tweeted Saturday morning about what he called poor “forest management” and suggested that was to blame for the deadly and destructive wildfires in California.
