PM Modi Addresses Rally In Rajasthan’ Ajmer

AJMER: PM Modi is addressing a public rally in Ajmer on Saturday to mark the completion of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s state-wide ‘Gaurav Yatra’ that began in August ahead of the Assembly elections.

This is the first political rally of the Prime Minister in Rajasthan, where Assembly polls will be held later this year. State BJP President Madan Lal Saini said that the PM will also visit the Brahma temple in Pushkar.

On the other hand, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is addressing a rally in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh.Ahead of elections in Rajasthan, PM Modi has said that BJP does not believe in division of society on the basis of religion.

Ahead of the polls in Rajasthan, PM Modi said that the ruling BJP government in the state believes in accountability. The Bharatiya Janata Party had in the previous assembly elections won 163 of the 200 assembly seats.

“We are nearing the end of our term in Rajasthan and we are here to give you a report of all that we have done,” PM Modi said.

Pointing towards Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi said that some people think that they can change the course of their politics with a hug.

PM Modi said, “If the parties who indulge in vote bank politics come to power, they will divide the government officers according to their politics and provide posts only to those who fit their vote bank,” PM Modi said.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said, “I would like to thank the prime minister for his schemes for the poor and farmers.

The Congress raised questions over the independence of the Election Commission after the poll panel changed the timing of its press conference to announce dates for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.

The Congress alleged the decision to delay the announcement might have a link to PM Modi’s rally in Ajmer in Rajasthan at 1 pm, where BJP Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s state-wide, yatra ahead of the polls, will conclude.

As soon as the Election Commissioner OP Rawat announces the dates, the Model Code of Conduct will come into effect, following which the state government cannot announce any new schemes.
