Mumbai : Nowadays new talents are arising from small towns in bollywood and a new name is added in this series is Anamika Shukla. Born and brought up in Kanpur and while schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Chakeri , she had won many acting and dancing competitions and also perfomed for DD Bharti in school days only. She completed her graduation from D.A.V.College Kanpur and moved to Amity University Lucknow for her post-graduation where she followed her passion and won many skit competitions.
Soon Anamika is doing her debut on silver screen in her upcoming bollywood film ‘Gaalib’. Anamika told us about her journey from Kanpur to bollywood, she said, ‘as you embark on a new journey, you face certain situations and this is just a starting of my career but I am glad that I got a promising role in my very first film. When you are new in industry then you have fewer options of characters and roles to chose but I am blessed in this case that I am getting selective and impressive roles.
When we asked her about the casting couch, she replied very boldly and said, ‘Society is full of good and bad, both kinds of people. We need to find a midway. Nowadays girls are smart and they know how to respond in such situations and it’s their decision to choose what is right for them.
Other then Gaalib, Anamika have acted in Vikram Bhatt ‘Lonerangers’ webseries and she had received a good response from her promo for ‘Deadly Women’ show on Investigation Discovery Channel. She had also done many music videos as well. Director of Gaalib is Manoj Giri, writer is Dhiraj Mishra and producer is Ghanshyam Patel. Shooting of Gaalib is starting from the next month in December. Including Anamika, the other important characters of the film are Deepika Chikhalia, Nikkhil Pitaley and Ajay Arya.
