Villagers aggrieved that despite repeated requests to the concerned Government officials and elected representatives, their pleas has not been addressed so far and they are facing extreme hardship in carrying their routine daily life, not even a “Wooden Plank” has been placed on the stream. Reality of Twenty-First century India amongst India Shining, India Making gizmo.
Villagers told ICN reporter that due to absence of bridge we are facing immense hardships to cross the stream especially during winter’s Authorities even failed to place a wooden plank there, which adds to our woes.
Talking to women of the village the reporter found that females, especially the girl children are facing more hardship, aggrieved and expressed their resentment as they are not to able to cross the Nallah as it poses threat to their lives and because of that they prefer to stay within their houses. A women Jane Begam told that she feel insecure to send her children to schools due to the stream which has “gushing waters in the summers”.
Villagers has appealed again to the local Administration and also to the Governor of J&K Satya Pal Malik to look into this issue on humanity grounds to construct a bridge on this stream to avoid absolute miseries of the inhabitants. If appeals about basic amenities for a graceful individual life is a reality in new India, the Authorities would have taken it seriously.
Sources in the Government department told ICN that the proposal for constructing a bridge over the nallah was expensive but soon we will work on this project.
