This week released movie Redrum-a love story starring Vibhav Roy, Saeeda Imtiaz, Tom Alter is based on the international writer Edgar Allan Poe’s popular book “The Tell-Tale Heart” few things are remarkable about the film Redrum-a love story, first is that this is the last film of Tom Alter and the second is, the film is based on the dangerous social evil such as growing drugs in young people and is represented in a very entertaining way.
The lead character of the story Daksh is an emerging singer. Although Daksh is famous among the youths, meanwhile there is something wrong in his personal life. He is addicted to drugs. He gets to meet a young media professional Arika (Saida Imtiaz) and both of them are in love but everything is not so fascinating in their love story. In the meantime, Detective Fernandez (Tom Alter) comes to the eradicate the drug racket in the city. He slowly explores the drug racket exposed in the city and comes across Daksh, who is connected with the drug mafia. The police are in search of the drug mafia and all their customers. Due to increasing investigations with the drugs and the police, Daksh was evicted from the band.
Daksh and Arika are madly in love with each other but Arika is disturbed by the drunkenness of Daksh. Suffering from his obsessive love, fearful Arika finally takes a decision to help the police officer to apprehend Daksh. In the meanwhile, obsessive Daksh commits a crime.
The director duo Dhruva and Saurabh made the film keeping the youth in mind. In the film, Daksh has managed to show insanity and obsession towards Arika and their love is filmed in a very romantic way. The film story is based on a popular novel, so the screenplay of the story glues the viewer to the end. If we talk about acting, Vinay Rai’s performance is average whereas Tom Alter has done a fabulous job. He has done justice and made interesting to the character of Fernandez with his poetry habits. The actress Saida Imitaz is also suiting in the character of Arika. The film is represented with an artistical cinematography. Although the film revolves around drugs and metro life, still the film has different colors to depict the story. The film has been shot beautifully at various locations of Delhi and the background score of the film is average.
