Innsbruck, Austria
We reached Innsbruck by a train from Salzburg. The 2-hour journey tripled to a 5-hour journey because of unexpected disruptions in the train route.
Innsbruck was the the venue of winter olympics !
Day 1
Out of the 2 nights we stayed, the first night we spent at the town center listening to open air musical performances by Austrian folk artists.
Day 2
The next day we took a tour on the iconic ‘forest tram number 6’.
The view of the city from the tram is breathtaking
This is an absolute must-do. One needs to board the Tram number 1 to “Bergiesel” and then take the connecting tram number 6 which runs once an hour and goes through a forest trail on the mountain.
