“Hard-work and luck both plays equal role to work for Big songs like Makhana for Sushant Singh movie Drive : Ozil Dalal

Ozil Dalal is a budding lyricist in the Bollywood industry. With the ups and downs in the early stage of his career, Ozil is now a known name in the industry. Known for movies like Sushant Singh Rajput movie Drive, Makesh Bhatt acting debut movie Mumbai city, Award winning children’s film Blue Mountains and more. Ozil Dalal made a powerful presence as a lyricist in Bollywood.

He has been associated with popular music composer Amit Trivedi in many projects. The huge break in Coke studio season 3 was the ice breaking moment for him. In coke studio, he was the lyrics writer for Amit Trivedi’s song “Kyun Na”.The song had massive followers. After its success, Ozil and Amit worked for many songs like the anthem “Bas bajana chahiye gana” of Gaana.com and also Dil Ka Gaana series and others….Gaana.com got the most prestigious Abby award. Ozil has also written many national and international Commercials for other brands & other Music Directors. Amit had remade the legendary song “Allah tero naam” in Times of music show on Sony TV with additional lyrics by Ozil. Those 8 lines were truly inspiring, motivating and spiritual, spreading the message of world peace. Even he had been the lyric writer of the superhit number “Makhna” of Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez’s film Drive which was released on OTT platform Netflix and music was by Tanishq Bagchi. Now he is collaborated with Amit in his new album and many other projects.

Ozil Dalal shared “Hard work and luck  both play equal roles to work for Big songs like Makhana from Drive , Sushant Singh movie, I always wanted to give gujarati songs a Bollywood touch to make it universal.  Being a Gujarati I penned lyrics for Jatin-Pratik in a Gujarati Biopic first sports award winning film Diya –the wonder girl. The martial art anthem in the film is inspired by Amitabh Bhattacharya’s song from Brother.

Ozil Dalal has also written songs for award winning films The Blue Mountain and Moh. He wrote a football song in movie Penalty and a peppy dance number in Mahesh Bhatts film Mumbai City.Apart from films, he had been the lyricist for many other ads and web-series. He is highly inspired by Gulzaar Saheb, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Prasoon Joshi, Irshad Kamil, Piyush Mishra and more. He loves to do experiments. He completes his homework like a kid for any new subject. From the beginning he always wanted to be a lyricist which will create an eyebrow raising moment amongst listeners.
